We understand the importance of providing accurate information when responding to your nutrition and health-related questions or concerns. As you are aware, we manufacture a wide variety of products. In addition to some of our products being similar in nature, we also offer many of the same products in a variety of sizes. These factors may impact the information you've requested. 

We would also like to assure you that we take food allergies very seriously at The Hershey Company and have strict procedures in place to prevent crossover of allergens into other products that do not contain the allergen. In instances where we have a concern about possible contamination by an allergen, we take the added precaution of including an allergy information statement on the label. As always, the single most important thing you can do to maintain an allergen-free diet is to carefully read all product labels prior to each purchase.

Newman's pasta sauces - SAFE, salad dressing - NOT SAFE

Thank you for taking the time to write to us at Newman's Own.

All of our products are labeled in compliance with FDA regulations concerning food allergens. The manufacturing plants where our products are produced all have Allergen Management Programs which involve employee training, proper storage and labeling of ingredients containing allergens, scheduling production of products without allergens before production of products with allergens and rigorous sanitation and testing procedures for the manufacturing equipment between production of different products.

With respect to pasta sauces, there are currently no peanuts or tree nuts in our manufacturing facilities. With respect to salad dressing, there are no peanuts in the facilities, but there are tree nuts both in the plant as well as on shared production equipment.
